FILM: Inception (2010)

by · August 16, 2010

One night before Inception came out we were sitting on the couch waiting for something to come on (probably a movie) and there was a short 15 minute show about the making of Inception. I had no idea what it was about, nor had I heard about it, but after watching that 15 minute preview of it made me want to see it badly. Here gives you an idea, it’s not the same thing we saw, but it’s enough for you to get the idea (the sets, etc.):

We tried to go see Inception when it first came out by the lines were too long the one day we went and it was simply not going to happen. We gave up on that for a while and had a chance to see it on Saturday night with some friends (my soon to be room mates, as well!). I heard a lot of mumbo jumbo about how this movie was supposed to make you question your own reality and/or our existence. As great as this movie was, it didn’t do anything like that for me – it was just an incredibly well done movie by Christopher Nolan (The Dark Knight), and an interesting concept/story line. Leonardo DiCaprio always wins my heart with his acting. I think he’s incredible. Joseph Gordon-Levitt was just great as well. All of the actors did a great job.

The idea of being able to travel into another person’s mind is pretty intense and sovery impossible. Anyhow, no major spoilers here. I really enjoyed this movie but I enjoyed Scott Pilgrim vs. the World the night before far more. Two great movies in one weekend. Well done!

What did you think of this movie? Was it thought provoking? Did it make you start questioning your reality like the good ol’ Matrix movies? Do tell.
